Director's Bio
Blanca Eliassen began her work at the Children's Center back in 1991 as the first teacher for the school alongside Sue McKenzie. During this time she taught and co-directed for 7 1/2 years. Blanca left the Children's Center to raise her two children, but returned in 2008 and has been here ever since! Blanca has a certificate in Early Childhood Education and 20+ years of experience as a teacher and director. She has all of the requirements by the Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division and she is certified in CPR and First Aid. Blanca enjoys working with children and getting to know their families. Blanca considers the La Canada United Methodist Children's Center her home away from home. She also enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and gardening.
